DIY Hummingbird Nectar

Home-made hummingbird nectar.

*****

We stirred 1/2 cup sugar into 2 cups water, brought it to a boil, stirring for approximately 5 minutes. We let it cool, and poured into the hummingbird feeder.

Give it a try!

DIY Body Wash

Home-made body wash.

*****

We purchased our soap from Dollar General for $1.00
We chose Zest for MEN, but any bar soap will work.
We used both bars equaling 6.4 ounces of soap
We used 9 cups boiled water.
Grate the soap.
Pour the boiled water over the soap and stir until well dissolved.
Let the dissolved solution sit until gelled (We let ours sit overnight)
Once gelled, mix with mixer until well mixed and foamy
Pour into bottles and enjoy your savings!
Our cost broke down to approximately 33 cents per bottle
~~~
NOTE: you can tweak this recipe as you wish, you'll figure it out as you go. If you like it thicker, use less water. And if you like it thinner use more water (some bottles have smaller openings) Just make sure you mix the gelled product well.
Can't beat all this body wash for $1
And this is great for refilling liquid hand soap dispensers too.
Give it a try!
